Wilhelm Klopp
Looking for a small team of cracked ICs building at the AI product layer. SF, in person.
who // Solo founder for the last eight years, GitHub before that. I built Simple Poll ($1.3M ARR, profitable, growing, largely automated — it comes with me as a side business, and I say that proudly). I built Kolo, a runtime tracing debugger for Python that gives coding agents real execution data. And every day I build Chad, my personal AI assistant: my deep practice in building with agents. I ship constantly.
what // First ~10 at a well-funded startup, or a cracked pod inside a lab or big company — the team is the unit, not the company. A leader I can learn craft from. A product I'd dogfood and a vision I buy. The intensity I want is the pull kind: excited to get back to building after dinner.
not // People management, remote, or being the founder again.
how // Work trials beat interviews. I'm happy to just build with your team for a few days and let the work speak.
why // I lived in London for ten years and, one internship aside, never worked in an office with actual people at an actual company. Building alone worked (Simple Poll is proof), but I'm done optimizing for it. I want to be in the action.
